Frequently Asked Questions...

Can I have a body built on my present golf chassis?

Depending on the age of your cart and the model you select, most likely. Some of our carts are designed to fit specific make and model carts, while others are available for all late model Club Car, EZ-Go and Yamaha chassis.

Can I select the colors for my new body?

Many dealers have an inventory of bodies for you to choose from, while many build carts from scratch. Obviously, if your present chassis is to be used, you can start from scratch selecting the color or combination of colors you want. Many dealers offer a full variety of paint colors and paint schemes to allow you to individualize your new body, just the way you want to. Many people match the color to that of their car or have a favorite color in mind!

Is there enough room with your body installed to convert my electric cart to an 8-6 volt configuration?

All our rear cowls allow the conversion to an 8-6 volt configuration. Conversion is best done prior to the body change-over, as the rear cowl will generally have to be removed as a part of the conversion to fashion the battery trays.

You say your bodies have automotive style wiring looms. Explain, please.

All our front and rear cowls have plug in wiring looms to make installation easier. Our body systems come with a multi-switch, stalk mounted which controls high and low beam headlights, directional signals and the horn. We also offer an electrical package on our front cowl kits which include the multi-switch, the horn and flasher.

How long does it take to convert your 2+2 carts from "golf mode" to "4 passenger mode"?

Generally speaking, our carts are converted in less than two minutes. We use spring pin clips to hold the seat backs and bottoms in place, so conversion is easily accomplished in record time!

Who makes your body systems?

B&B Preferred manufactures its own body systems and fiberglass reinforced products in plants for which it owns a major interest in India. This way we can control the high level of quality control our dealers demand. This also means you receive the fit and finish you expect in a fine quality product.

Can I keep my present accessories when I purchase your body kit?

Your dealer can better guide you as far as retaining your present accessories, such as sand bottle, cooler, etc. While many accessories work perfectly with our kits, your dealer can actually SEE your cart and can provide better guidance.

Can I install a radio system on my new body?

Yes, of course you can. Most body systems include two power leads which can be used for audio equipment or to power a convenience outlet. The convenience outlet is especially useful to keep your cell phone or golf GPS unit charged. Many of our body systems use your present roof, and sound system consoles are widely available. Again, ask your dealer for details.

Will your body systems accommodate the new, larger tires and wheels?

All body components are designed to compliment the newer 20.5 inch high profile tires on 10 inch rims.

How long will it take to convert my present cart to a custom Belero cart?

The time is mainly dependant on which body system you select. Some of our front cowl systems can be installed in as little as two hours, including removal of your present front cowl. Ask your dealer and you will receive an honest assessment of the time involved. Regardless of the time it takes, you are sure to love your new cart body so much your temporary inconvenience will seem trivial.
